Luxury Watches

High end watches have long been a coveted, and we recently showcased a number of men’s luxury watches which were perfect for those wishing to start their very own collection. This week, we’re looking at 5 gorgeous timepieces from the world’s top manufacturers which are aimed at women.

Up until the First World War, wristwatches were worn almost exclusively by women, while men wore pocket watches. One of the earliest examples was gifted to Queen Elizabeth I by Robert Dudley in 1571, and was described at the time as an ‘arm watch’. At the time the technology was very new, of course, and it is unlikely to have been anything like to watches we see today, with their superior technology and extreme precision timekeeping.

The world’s top watch manufacturers, such as Rolex, Breitling and Omega have centuries of experience and have developed a number of exceptional models which are perfect for those looking for something a bit special. Whether you are collecting one particular make of watch or a selection, there is something for everyone in our range. Our preowned pieces are available at discount prices and you’ll find a wide range of styles and designs spanning many decades, from nearly new, contemporary pieces to vintage designs which really catch the eye.

Are you ready to begin your high end watch collection? Check out these fabulous beginner pieces in our current range, all priced at less than £1,500.

TAG Heuer

We start with this TAG Heuer 2014 Formula 1 Ladies watch in white, with diamond detailing and a stainless steel and ceramic bracelet. This particular watch includes its original box and papers, and we also issue an authentication card. This proves that our in-house horologists have fully inspected the piece and have checked the serial number with the manufacturer to ensure it is the real deal.

This watch has a striking elegance, and would look fantastic in a wide range of situations. Whether you’d wear it in the office, to special occasions or whilst enjoying a well-deserved holiday, its contemporary style is sure to stand out and tie your outfit together. This watch is eye-catching, and makes a real statement without being too in-your-face. It’s a beautiful all-rounder which would fit well in any collection.

Cartier

If you’re looking for something with a bit more style, this 1998 Cartier Trinity timepiece is a beautiful addition to any collection. It has the classic Cartier look, with a white dial and large Roman numerals, along with the traditional uncut sapphire on the crown. The striking golden case and decorative metallic elements on the face of the watch are left to speak for themselves, and really stand out against the plain leather strap.

This is a very elegant piece by French company Cartier, who have been making timepieces since 1847 and are known as one of the more stylish watch brands. If you prefer watches with few functions and as little clutter as possible, this understated yet eye-catching piece could be just the right choice for your first collection.

Rolex

The majority of watch collectors would consider Rolex to be a must-have, and as arguably the most famous watchmaker in the world, it’s easy to see why. This Rolex Lady Oyster Perpetual 6718 is a classic and timeless piece that goes with everything due to its simple, no-frills design, yet as with every Rolex, it certainly won’t go unnoticed.

The Rolex crown logo can be found on the dial in place of the 12, and other numbers are denoted by simple lines. The oyster-coloured dial is allowed to shine due to the simplicity of the steel case and bracelet.

This watch was first manufactured in 1973 and has some signs of wear due to its age. However, it does mean that you can add a classic Rolex to your collection for a fantastic price. If you’d like to see other ladies Rolex watches in our range, you can view them here.

Omega

If you’re looking for something which is both on-trend and has vintage charm, this Omega Vintage timepiece could be the ideal solution. The champagne dial and warm gold bracelet gives this watch a very ‘on-trend’ look, despite its age – giving its wearer the best of both worlds. The rounded square shape of the dial and the weave-textured bracelet add subtle yet impressive design elements, and the simple Roman numerals are just the right size and make the desired impact.

Breitling

While many watches aimed at women tend to be smaller and more decorative, this Breitling Colt Oceane bucks the trend with its more ‘masculine’ design and features. This piece is water resistant up to 500m and includes the date.

Breitling originally manufactured precision timepieces for aviators, but has since found popularity the world over, no matter the profession of the wearer. These watches are built to last a lifetime and longer with the proper care, and many choose to pass their luxury watches down to the next generation(s). This extremely well-made precision wristwatch would look fantastic at the office or at a special occasion, and is practical enough for year-round wear.

Bonus watch – Tiffany & Co

Looking for something a bit different? Our bonus 6th watch could be just the ticket. This timepiece is a Tiffany & Co Tesoro watch, and it really does have that ‘certain something’ many look for when choosing a piece for their collection. The unusually-shaped dial is incorporated into the herringbone bracelet design, and the striking silver numerical markers on the charcoal-coloured face tie it all together beautifully. This successfully achieves the elegance and glamour which has come to be expected from any Tiffany & Co watch.

You can view our full range of ladies watches online, as well as a wide selection of fine jewellery items at amazing prices.
