About Our Business
H&T and its trading subsidiary Harvey & Thompson Limited is one of the oldest and leading pawnbrokers in the UK. On 8th May 2006, H&T floated on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). Since 2006, H&T has accelerated its development by adding new products and services, expanding the store network and developing a complete online service. Our continued investment in the business and the communities we serve has resulted in us being the largest pawnbroker in the UK.
The group employs over 1,000 people in the UK. As predominately a financial service provider and retailer of pre-owned Jewellery, the group has a relatively straightforward supply chain compared with those of other sectors. The majority of products and services sourced from suppliers based in the UK and European Economic Area (EEA).
We have established policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical manner and address the risk of Slavery and Human Trafficking in our supply chain. These include; Recruitment Policy, Purchasing Policy and internal Whistle-Blowing Policy.
Our Supply Chain
We understand that our biggest exposure to the risk of modern day slavery and people trafficking is within our supply chain. To address this risk we have undertaken a review of our suppliers to ensure they have policies and procedures to address modern day slavery, are taking steps to identify and eliminate Slavery within their own supply chains. Where we have identified suppliers who due to their size don’t currently fully comply with the Modern Day Slavery Act we are working with them during 2018 to complete additional due diligence on their business and supply chains.
